Former military commanders as well as Labour and Tory MPs said he was “dishonourable” for refusing to sing the national anthem.
Mr Corbyn later insisted that he “stood in respectful silence” during the remembrance ceremony.
In contrast to other leaders and dignitaries at the event, Mr Corbyn wore a mismatched suit and the top button on his shirt appeared to be undone.
And less than 48 hours after the formation of the shadow cabinet, Lord Falconer, who served under Tony Blair, on Tuesday exposed the divisions in the new Labour leadership as he warned that he will step down if Mr Corbyn campaigns to leave the European Union.
In a further blow to Mr Corbyn, it emerged that up to 100 Labour MPs are preparing to defy him by preparing to publicly campaign for Britain to stay in the EU “with or without” the new leader’s support.

general election and compared the Government to the fascist leadership of General Franco in Spain.
In another sign of the disarray in Labour, Mr Corbyn forgot to deliver a number of lines in his speech that had been pre-briefed ahead of his appearance at the conference.
It comes as Mr Corbyn prepares to face David Cameron at Prime Minister’s Questions for the first time.
The new Labour leader has “crowd sourced” his questions to Mr Cameron by inviting members of public to submit their ideas of the Labour website.
Labour said that more than 30,000 people have submitted questions in recent days.
Mr Corbyn was on Monday evening forced to issue a statement after hours of criticism over his decision not to sing the national anthem.
Asked if Mr Cameron was surprised Mr Corbyn had not sung the anthem, the Prime Minister's official spokeswoman said: "The importance the Prime Minister attaches to the National Anthem is visible - every time he's at one of these services or a state or national event, he is very proud and willing to join with others in singing the National Anthem."
Admiral Lord West of Spithead, a Labour peer and former security minister, said: “Singing the national anthem is a sign of loyalty to the United Kingdom and British people. I cannot believe that the people of our great nation could contemplate a Prime Minister who lacks that loyalty.”
Sir Nicholas Soames, a Tory MP and the grandson of Winston Churchill, said not singing the anthem was "very rude and very disrespectful" to the Queen and "the Battle of Britain pilots who gave their all".
