I searched on Google "domestic violence towards men and it gave me a book which significantly shows that abuse towards men is not seen as an issue mainly because people do not know that it occurs.
This is a screen shot from a part of the book, it portrays the fear of men standing up to the situation due to them feeling like a "wimp" if they get abused by a woman. Further more, the abuse towards men does not necessarily have to be physical abuse, they can be abused mentally.
